2010 Year In Review

http://www.slammedgraphics.com/sg-yir.html

It seems like just yesterday I was making plans for the 2010 racing season, and now here I sit just days away from 2011 wondering where the year has gone.2010 flew by so quickly, but I think it’s very true that time flies by when you’re having fun. 2010 was a big year for Slammed Graphics: We photographed Formula Drift in Irwindale, California, took two trips to New Jersey and had the pleasure of enjoying our first East Coast Bash, and took literally thousands of pictures. However we’ve compiled our favorites for the entire year in one place to share with all of you. So here’s our 2010 favorite photos, our year in review. :)

Ever since I began this company back in 2006 after having already been in the design industry for almost four years previous to that, I’ve received an overwhelming amount of support from friends, family, and even people I’ve never met. It means quite a lot for people to love my work as much as I do. So thank you to everyone who has shown their support in 2010 and in previous years. People like you are the reason I love this job so much.

So to all of you, best wishes in the new year and thanks for everyone.

Goals For 2011

Published Work: 2010 Ferrea Catalog

With 2010 coming to a close I’ve been making plans for next year. I want to take a good solid chunk of time and set some new goals for 2011. For my racing photos particularly, I’d love to see my photos in print in a magazine. For me there’s just something magical about seeing something you made in print. That’s probably why I was so proud of the above accomplishment. It was kind of random when I was told that Ferrea would be using one of my photos in their 2011 catalog, but I was stoked about it and very proud of myself as it was only the second time one of my photo was being published in print.

I’d like to make that a goal for 2011, more exposure, more print publishing, bigger events (hopefully the entire Formula Drift season if I can manage it).

I know for certain that I’ll be able to attend and photograph every Xtreme Drift Circuit event next year which is going to be amazing. I’m very stoked about that.

Another big goal I’d really like to accomplish in 2011 is to gain an increase in clients for my graphic/web design work. I really enjoy the whole process of creating a website or graphics for my clients and I’d love to expand. It would also be nice to have the extra cash for a new computer and some new goodies for my own car. Haha. Any suggestions on this particular topic, I’m all ears… Anyhoo… love to all of you fabulous Tumblr folks! :)

So I took a trip to New Jersey…

Roughly 26 total hours of driving (although this trip should take only around 10 hours one way) and two blown trailer tires later…I made it home from New Jersey late Sunday night. Despite battling a broken toe (yup my clumsy arse slammed my pinky toe into the metal part of my computer chair about a week ago) I did my best to get some shots to cover the event. I’ve still got quite a bit more to edit, but here’s a few teasers. :-)

*note: I now want a Honda Ruckus quite fervently. :-)

Waiting on the roadside service guy to get there after tire blow out number two somewhere in Virginia…

One tire de-laminated the other completely popped. The second almost looks like it has been drifted on.
